My sincerest apologies for tardiness this past week! I hope to post another one later this week as well! The title of this piece (and a line in the story) reflect back on a poem by Emily Dickinson. Also, I love koi fish. Don't ask why, because I have no clue ^^ Title: The Thing With Fins Prompt: (23) Gift(s) Perspective: First Person –from Ellery’s POV Genres: Fantasy, Drama Length: 1027 words Warnings: -Koi Fish -Hints at the Past -Gifts -Facts hidden in my fiction -References to poetry |

Well, it seems that I may be just a bit early with this week's piece... This one apparently wanted written, and I didn't mind all that much because it was so much fun. This piece introduces a new character that I am (half) in love with already! Also! Don't forget to read "A Kiss of Magick" and tell me what gender you believe the apprentice to be! Title: Normality
Prompt: (33) A Normal Day Perspective: First Person Genres: Fantasy, Drama Length: 1070 words Warnings: -Explosions -Blind Man Walking -Dragons Talking -Unicorns -Petty Squabbles -Smoke Inhalation Since I'm beginning work on what (hopefully) will be a series with some recurring characters, my current prompts will be coming from a set of 52 prompts (source) called SinsofMidnight's Writer's Challenge. All of theses prompts will center around a single pairing: Ellery Wylan and Algernon St. Clair, both of whom play important roles in my Edana stories (of which I have planned to write 11 or 12, so baton down the hatches and get used to these boys ;) ) In the interest of full disclosure, their relationship does actually occur in my timeline for the story set. However, their love story doesn't have a part in the series... and you may see why if you keep up with these! Title: A Kiss of Magick
Prompt: (04) Reader Insert Perspective: Second Person Genre: Fantasy, Drama Length: 1086 words Warnings: -Unicorns -Title Dropping -Ambiguity -My Favorite Made-Up Word Additional Notes: This piece has inspired me to include one more character in this world --the character who narrates this story. See the end of the post for details on how you can be involved! |
